Trey Joseph Blumrich

Trey Joseph Blumrich, age 36, born on April 10, 1987, passed away unexpectedly from a motorcycle accident on July 27, 2023. He was a loving father, wonderful son, and an awesome brother and uncle. While he left this world too soon, he had a tremendous impact on our life and we are forever grateful to have been part of his. Those who knew Trey, knew he had a larger-than-life personality, loved music and enjoyed having a good time. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He received an Associate’s Degree from ITT Tech. When it came to work or projects, he was a perfectionist and would work diligently until his standards were met. Trey is survived by his parents, Clarence Blumrich, Jr. (Karen), and Barbara Matt Prejean; his son, Tate Joseph Blumrich; his grandmother, Sherry Matt; his sisters, Brandy Stellingworth, Alexis Blumrich, Candace Settoon (Gabe), and Londyn Grey; his brothers, Troy Blumrich (Nancy), Cory Prejean (Jill), and Trey Killeen; his nephews, Brayden, Kaleb, Owen, Nolan, Neymar, Lennon, Thayer, Ellis, and Hayes; and his nieces, Katie and Makenzie. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Duke Prejean; and his grandparents, Bertha Blumrich, Clarence Blumrich, Sr., Michael Roy Matt, Sr., Marjorie Prejean, Ellis Prejean, and his cousin, Mary Nicole “Nikki” Gillen.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 beginning at 9:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am celebrated by Rev. Cleo Milano. Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt. Pleasant Zachary Rd., Zachary, LA 70791 at 2:00 pm.
