Verda Mae "Bonnie" Gaudin

Verda Mae "Bonnie" Gaudin, born on July 17, 1927, in Gonzales, Louisiana, to Samuel Dubois and Inez Bourque Dubois, passed away on June 22, 2024. 

She was a dedicated ward clerk in a medical clinic throughout her career. Verda was known for her gentle and compassionate nature, which she exemplified both in her professional and personal life.

Verda had a passion for gardening and possessed a green thumb that brought life and beauty to her surroundings. Her deep love for her grandchildren, family, and loyal companion Jack-Jack, along with her skillful crocheting abilities, added warmth and joy to the lives she touched.

Verda is survived by her daughters, Emily "Lou" Breaud Inzinna of Springfield, LA and Mary Dianne Gaudin of Baton Rouge, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Judy Gaudin of Pearland, TX; goddaughter, Lynette Gaudin Pique’ of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers-in-law, Gerald Joseph and John Wayne Gaudin of Baton Rouge, LA; sisters-in-law, Linda Ann Gaudin of Baton Rouge, LA, and Judy Chustz of Brusly, LA; along with 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Verda is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Lynn A. Gaudin; parents, Sam Dubois and Inez Bourque Dubois; brothers, Berle "Buck" Dubois and Hollis Pierce; son, Lynn A. Gaudin Jr.; sister-in-law, Yvonne Gaudin Palermo; as well as her daughter, Debbie Gaudin Danner.

Services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, 70816 on Friday, June 28, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, with funeral services starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. 

Pallbearers will be Scott Gaudin, Garrett Pique’, Dallas Clarke, Neale Gaudin, Johnny Mutrie, Brock Birchfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Brody Inzinna, Todd Inzinna, Rev. Randall Dubois, Dustin Schewe, Shawn Bull. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Lou Inzinna, Mary Dianne, Scott Gaudin, Lynette Pique’, Pinnacle Hospice, the many doctors and nurses and Our Lady of the Lake for their help during this difficult time.
