Virginia Buckner

A veteran of World War II and retired LPN, she passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2008. She was born Sept. 2, 1922. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at noon. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard W. and Jean M. Buckner; daughter, Joan Buckner; four grandchildren, Wes, Davey and Brent Buckner and Shayne Edwards; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Ora D. Buckner. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Baton Rouge American Cancer Society.
