Virginia Pipes

A resident of Franklin and a native of Amite, she died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 71. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Dec. 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Kevin Hand of Zoar Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Stanley H. Pipes Sr.; a daughter, Cyndi Pipes Farris; a son, Stanley H. Pipes Jr.; two sisters, Marion E. Givens and Carolyn P. Ellender; seven grandchildren, Justin Pipes, Stephanie Pipes, Kristin Pipes, Corey Trahan, Brandon Farris, Jessica Farris and Jason Farris; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Farris and Emma Farris. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna Ponder.
