A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Baton Rouge Health Care. He was 89 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Graveside service at Port Hudson National Cemetery at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Lucy and Charles Bernard, Shirley Beech, Mary and Alan Moak and Shari and John Samuels; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Jessica Rodriguez and Stan and Sandy Rodriguez; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.
