Wilbur Holston, Jr.

Owner of Guardian Angel Day Care Preschool, he died at 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at his home in Prairieville. He was 57, a native of Monroe and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, Oct. 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home chapel on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Bobby Redding and the Rev. Hugh Warren. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Linda Holston; mother, Alice Holston; two daughters, Karen Holston Daigle and husband Eddie, and Denise Marie Holston and fianc Joseph West; son, Matthew Wade Holston; two sisters, Mary Golden and Dee Hancock; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Brooke Daigle. Preceded in death by his father, W. Wade Holston Sr. He was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.
