From 1960, Buck and Alma resided in Searcy, AR, Minden, LA, New Orleans, LA, and finally in Baton Rouge, LA where they raised three children - Bill, Beth, and Beverly. Most of Buck’s career was spent at Walk Haydel & Associates as a Mechanical Engineer for 33 years. He was a registered Professional Engineer in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi and was a part of projects at Exxon, Chevron, Georgia Pacific, Georgia Gulf, City of Kenner, City of New Orleans, and many other establishments. Buck enjoyed to fish any chance he got, but especially at his Toledo Bend and Lake St. John camps. He also enjoyed hunting, which he did well into his 80’s, and spending time at the Greensburg Hunting Club. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church, where he served as an Usher and Reader. Buck also loved spending time with his family, his early morning oatmeal while reading the newspaper, red sock Saturdays, two-pocket shirts, tinkering with things around the house, mastering the iPhone and computer, and being talked into pretty much anything by the ones that called him “Pawpaw.”
