William "Bill" T. Flynn

William “Bill” T. Flynn, born on May 19, 1941, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the age of 84.

Bill was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Port Allen High School and attended USL. Bill was a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1959-1963. After his time in the military, he went on to become the Atchafalaya Levee Board Commission for over 20 years, as well as being a repairman for Bellsouth Cable for 32 years. He was also a member of Livonia Masonic Lodge #220 in New Roads, Louisiana, and Former Vice President of Communications Workers of America. Bill spent time as a private pilot for 15 years, as well as a former cattleman. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and LSU football and baseball.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Billie W. Flynn; daughter, Tami Flynn; bonus daughters, Terri Adams (Mike Wiley) and Tonya Lavergne (Scott); sons, Mark “Todd” Flynn and Troy T. Flynn (Rainie); bonus sons, Jim Howard (Marcia) and Tod Howard (Stacey); grandchildren, Matthew T. Flynn, Charles A. Flynn. Kodey T. Flynn (Baylee), Kasey T. Flynn, Bailey Rose, Randi Samson (Donnie), Rhette Mire (David), Robbie Schexnayder (Duston), Lacey Lobell (Todd), Blaine Imhoff (Jim), Laryn Rayburn (Jeremy), Laremy Howard (Brittany), Holly Koch (Kyle), Hunter Howard, Gerard Paul Lavergne (Colleen), Haley Lavergne, and Tanner Lavergne; 32 great-grandchildren; cousin and godson, David Lieux; sister-in-law, Anita Flynn; niece, Stephenie Flynn Allen; nephew and godchild, Stephen Flynn; and longtime friend, Millard Dumesnil.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Francis Flynn Jr. and Thelma Marie Lieux; brother, Leo F. “Sonny” Flynn, III; bonus son, Jeff Howard; and his daughter-in-law, Aundrea Flynn.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, February 19, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM, with a Masonic service beginning at 10:30 AM and funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will include Kodey Flynn, Kasey Flynn, Matthew Flynn, David Lieux, Tod Howard, and Jim Howard. Honorary pallbearers will include Millard Dumesnil and Tanner Lavergne.
