Kent David Tortorich, a Baton Rouge native and Plaquemine resident, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, after a battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was 65.
Kent was born on August 16, 1955, in Columbus, Georgia. He loved to travel and, in 2019, visited several villages in Italy, where he was able to trace and document his family’s heritage. Kent also loved music. He had been a member of several bands, and continued throughout his life to play and write music. Above all, he loved and doted on his two daughters, Heather Blanchard and Hollie Durgapersad.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Frank Anthony Tortorich. His family will always cherish the many memories they shared with him.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” John 14: 1-3
Visitation will be held Friday, October 2 from 10:00am – 11:00am with a memorial service to begin at 11:00am at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
