She was a faithful member of the Jefferson Ridge Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Miriam was often described as being vibrant, uncompromising, honest, strong willed yet generous beyond compare. She was unshakable in her faith and beliefs and, as one described her, “she opened and closed the dance floor.” Miriam will be sorely missed.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who assisted during this trying time, especially her brothers and sisters who shared her faith and the wonderful nurses and caregivers from Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.

My heart is completely broken over the death of sister LaCoste. She was such an encouragement to me. On my visits, we would talk about her plants. Anytime I felt down, she would pinch my arm, then hug me, always making me smile/feel better. The hope of the resurrection is very comforting during times like these! She will be in Jehovah’s memory & our hearts always, until we see her again!

I will miss my dear friend and sister dearly. Miriam used to do my hair when she started learning to color hair. I was more or less her guinea pig. I remember the times we had to do my hair over, or the times that it came out violet. I love her so.
May Jehova comfort you’ll. Much love
