Jesus called Patricia Moreau home on Good Friday, April 2, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. Patricia was 78 years old and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. She is a retired EBRPSS bus driver, and a Pink Lady Volunteer for 33 years at Woman’s Hospital. She enjoyed going to watch her grandchildren in sporting events, cooking and spending time with her family.
Patricia was the loving wife of Lee Moreau. She was the precious mother of Mark and Paula Moreau, Randy Moreau and Shellie, Terri and Jeff Tate; and Gina Moreau (daughter-in-law). She was the proud grandmother of Jordan Moreau, Malena and Shawn Jezek, Matthew Moreau and fiance Kristen, Madeline Moreau, Kameron Tate, and Karson Tate. She was the loving sibling of Mary Ann Burton and Joseph Guercio. She was also the adoring aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Malena Guercio; sister, Lena Mae Lombardo; and brothers, Sammy and Russell Guercio.
Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a rosary taking place at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 9:00 AM. Fr. Ed Martin and Fr. Tat Hoang will conduct burial Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Moreau, Jeff Tate, Daryl Guercio, Shawn Jezek, Jody Guercio, and Brent Burton.
