Robert “Bob” Martin Broussard, age 72, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on January 11, 2022.
Bob grew up with 51 first cousins near Kleinpeter Farms Dairy on Airline Highway. He was a graduate of the first class of St. George School, Catholic High School, and LSU. Bob worked as a carpenter and was a parishioner at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish for 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending time hunting and fishing with friends and family at his home on South Tiger Bend in Baton Rouge and at the family camp in St. Francisville.
He is survived by his spouse of 50 years, Kathy Raymond Broussard; daughters Carrie Broussard and Katie Broussard Reulet; grandchildren Davie, Maggie, Elsie and Klein Reulet; siblings Daniel (Jennifer), V.J. (DeeAnn), and Frances Jean Broussard; in-laws Kenny and Charlene Raymond and Bill and Janet Gremillion; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents Vernis Joseph “Powee” Broussard and Mary Carrie “Peenie” Kleinpeter of Baton Rouge, and grandparents C.J. and Salome Broussard of Crowley and Leon “Papa” and Lillian “Nang” Kleinpeter of Baton Rouge.
Visiting hours will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Church on Friday, January 14 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Most Blessed Sacrament Church or Catholic High School in Bob’s name.
