We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home
W. Glenn Sheets, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2nd at the age of 78. He showed great courage for the last 12 months as he battled complications from a stroke.
He began his successful career in residential construction in 1979 until retirement in 2019. Sheets Construction Company was named “Small Business Company of the Year” by the Baton Rouge Business Report in 1985. He dedicated a large portion of his life to spreading the Word of God and teaching others about the Kingdom of God. He was the first person most people called when they needed prayer. He had a great love for baseball, fishing, LSU sports, making new friends, and flying his own airplane. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is survived by Elaine Sheets, mother of two of his children Leanne S. Willie (Mark) and Jennifer Sheets. They were married for 25 years. Also survived by his oldest daughter Nicole S. Mabry, whose mother Susan Freshwater Brown preceded Glenn in death in 2019.
